Students in Years 7 and 8, 2026, will participate in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP). This is the framework used to deliver the Victorian Curriculum.
The International Baccalaureate (IB) is a global leader in international education – developing inquiring, knowledgeable, confident, and caring young people. Their programmes empower school-aged students to take ownership of their own learning and help them develop future-ready skills to make a difference and thrive in a world that changes fast.
Building a solid academic foundation, the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) develops students’ confidence and agency, empowering them to make connections between their learning in the classroom and the real world. The MYP is a challenging framework comprised of eight subject groups, providing a broad and balanced curriculum. It combines an explicit knowledge and skills-based curriculum with units of inquiry that develop students as critical and creative thinkers. At its core, the MYP fosters a culture of excellence – encouraging students to strive for their personal best in all areas of learning and personal growth.
